Siouxland
Unidad Latina was created to empower, promote and develop
the Siouxland Latino Community.
We are a non-profit corporation,
registered with the Secretary of State of Iowa, officially
organized in November 2002.
GETTING INVOLVED: OUR FAMILIES, OUR COMMUNITY, OUR NATION.
Dear Friends:As part of the national celebration of Hispanic Heritage
Month, you are invited either as an individual, as a
recognized group, or as a business to nominate a Siouxland
Latino/Friend of Latinos for one of six Siouxland Unidad
Latino Leadership Awards to be announced at a Recognition
Dinner on October 16, 2008 at Western Iowa Tech Community
College.Think about the Latinos you have involved in your
organization or business. You may utilize volunteers in a
number of capacities. You may have a Latino employee who
has gone above and beyond her/his job responsibilities, or
whom you know to be contributing in other capacities
throughout the Siouxland community.
This is a wonderful opportunity to recognize your
outstanding Latino volunteers or employees!
There has seldom been a way to publicly recognize the
influence Latinos have had in the life and work of the
Siouxland community. It is the goal Siouxland Unidad Latina
to recognize and encourage such outstanding leadership in order to enhance our community. |
