The 2009 events will take place on Friday,
May 1st and Saturday, May 2nd.
Siouxland Unidad Latina, for the second
year, is very excited to award $1,000 scholarships to worthy
Latino students from the tri-state area on May 1st.

The Cinco De Mayo Festival takes place on
Saturday, May 2nd, at the Long Lines Family Center in Sioux
City, Iowa.
The event will kick-off with the Outstanding
Latino Student Recognition Ceremony at noon.
The party will continue right after. The day
is full of music, dancing, food, all the sights and sounds
of South of the Border! The festival runs from 12 – 6:00
p.m. at the Long Lines Family Center.
Cinco de Mayo is a date to celebrate the
rich culture we share with our neighbors to the south.
Whether you live in Mexico or in the United States, the
Hispanic lifestyle is rich with tradition.
This free family event offers something for
everybody, including a Kids Village with crafts, games, and
magic shows, and lots of entertainment.
